Extended Day Program (Aventura )

For families that need childcare beyond the regular school day, EBI offers EBI Aventura. The Aventura program runs from 7:30-8:20 in the morning and 3-6 in the afternoon.

The purpose of Aventura varies upon the age of the children. In general, Aventura is an opportunity for students to make choices about how they spend their time in a safe and stimulating environment. The teachers create a fun environment that reflects the students’ interests, while also including them in process of planning their after school activities. In addition to choice time, children in Aventura from first grade and up have time to do their homework.

The following are key components form the basis of the EBI Aventura program:

  • a well-prepared staff
  • a safe environment
  • an environment with both structure and flexibility
  • a variety of options of activities that reflect students’ interests and ideas
  • a variety of opportunities for social-emotional development
  • an opportunity to have fun and relax
  • an opportunity to have a snack and do homework

Registration Options:

There are three different enrollment options for the EBI Aventura program: Unlimited 5-Day, Unlimited 3-Day or Drop In.

Unlimited 5-Day: (also referred to as “Unlimited Aventura”): Families can stay any day of the week (or all) throughout the school year. This option also covers afternoon and morning care in school year camps during Fall, Winter, February, and Spring breaks.  Please note this does not cover aftercare during summer camps. Unlimited 5-Day Aventura is $3,400 for the school year.

Unlimited 3-Day: Families chose three week days on which their students will attend throughout the year, these days stay the same throughout the entire year and cover both morning and afternoon care. This option also covers afternoon and morning care on those selected days in school year camps during Fall, Winter, February, and Spring breaks. Please note this does not cover aftercare during summer camps. Unlimited 3-Day is $2,450 for the school year.

Drop in: $30 per day per student. Families that are registered for this option sign-up with a minimum of 24 hours in advance by adding his/her child’s name to our online “WeJoinIn” calendar (availability is limited). This option requires families to purchase a drop-in card for $300 per student, for 10 drop-in uses throughout the year (this cannot be applied to school breaks during camps). At the end of the school year remaining funds will roll over to the following school year. Upon leaving EBI, unused drop-in funds will be refunded. For registered Drop in families, a link to the Drop in calendar can be found in the “quick links” section of each EBI Al Día newsletter.
