Admissions Information

Thank you for your interest in Escuela Bilingüe Internacional!

At EBI the process of admissions is critical to creating a vibrant community of motivated learners, with a diversity that reflects that of the greater Bay Area. EBI encourages applicants of all genders, religions, national or ethnic origins, and family composition. We hope you will stop by and visit us for one of our school tours or information sessions.

2010-2011 Admissions

For the 2010-2011 school year, EBI is still accepting applications for pre-primary, kindergarten, and first through fourth grades for remaining spots. Please note the following age eligibility requirements:

For pre-primary, 3 years old by September 1, 2010.

For kindergarten, 5 years old by September 1, 2010.

Applicants to Kindergarten through 4th grade will also need to follow Step 4 below. Please contact us with any admissions inquiries.

2011-2012 Admissions

The Admissions Process:

Step 1. Attend a Parent Information Session. These are scheduled November through January, 2010.

Step 2. Come on a school tour. View our tour schedule

Step 3. Submit the 2011-12 Application for Admission. Applications will be available on October 1, 2010. Applications are due on January 14, 2011 at 12 noon PST.

To apply, you will need to submit:

•Your completed application

•A small photo of your child

•$75 application fee

Step 4. Submit teacher recommendation form (k and above). Applicants in kindergarten and above, your child’s current teacher needs to complete a student recommendation form. The teacher should submit the form directly to EBI; please provide the teacher with the blank form and a stamped envelope addressed to EBI. EBI uses the East Bay Independent School Association’s standard recommendation form.

Step 5. Attend a family interview and group assessment. Once your application is complete, we will contact you to schedule a family interview and a group assessment time for your child (held in January, 2011).

Admission Decisions

For applications received by 12 noon PST on January 14, 2011, EBI will mail admissions decisions on March 10, 2010. Contracts, with a 10% deposit, are due March 18, 2011 by 12 noon PST.
